My desire for theatre started when I was cast as Dorothy, in the Wizard of Oz in fifth grade, at Hannah - Pamplico Middle School. My love for theatre has stayed with me ever since. I am a graduate of Hannah - Pamplico High School, and I have a BA degree in Theatre and Media Studies from the College of Charleston. During college, I participated in school productions, anchored, produced and reported for College of Charleston TV, and wrote news stories for two newspapers. In addition, I have a Master of Education degree from Lesley University. My teaching career started my freshmen year in college when I completed a portion of a teacher's year as a music teacher. Upon graduation from college, I became a theatre arts instructor in Florence School District One. I taught through the International Baccalaureate program. I have also received training to work with dyslexic students at Sandhills Academy in Columbia, SC. Now it is my pleasure to work here at Latta High School. I love the students here, and I think it's a great place to be!
