I graduated from Latta High School in 1981 and then received a Bachelor's Degree from Columbia College in Elementary Education in 1985. I received my Master's Degree from Francis Marion College in 1988. I began my teaching career as a fifth grade teacher at Gordon Elementary School in Dillon. My next year and five months was spent working with the Gifted and Talented Program in the Lake View Schools. I began my career as guidance counselor at Lake View High School in January of 1988. I came to Latta High School during the 1995-96 school year. I have enjoyed being back at my alma mater. I live with my husband, John, and son, Charles, near the Floydale Community.
