Daily Announcements
Congratulations to the cast of Moliere's The Imaginary Invalid.
You did a great job!
On Tuesday, November 11, at 10:20 AM the LHS JROTC held a Veteran's Day Ceremony to honor our nation's past and present veterans. Our guest speaker was Sergeant Major Timothy Mickens, the Sergeant Major of the Senior ROTC Department at The Citadel. The color guard performed followed by recognition of our Veteran visitors, a video presentation about the 82nd Airborne, and a roll call of South Carolina fallen soldiers. A moment of silence was held while a LHS Band member performed Taps. A reception was held for the guests in the courtyard after the assembly. At noon an outdoor ceremony began. Third and fourth block JROTC students visited area cemeteries to post flags at veterans graves.
The 1st and 2nd block JROTC cadets worked hard to put together the Veteran's Day Ceremony and reception, and they did an outstanding job. Thank you to our JROTC, to our Veteran visitors, and to all of the men and women who have served and who are serving our country.
