Welcome back to the 2012-2013 school year!
Cheryl C. Stubbs
This is my 39th year of teaching. I have a B.S. degree from Winthrop University and an M.ED. from Francis Marion University. My husband and I live in Latta. We have 9 children and 13 grandchildren. I enjoy singing in two choirs, playing handbells, traveling, working with flowers, and having fun with my grandchildren. I have always loved teaching.
Students in my classroom have Individual Education Plans (IEPs). We will be working on each student's individual goals. We will also work on math, reading, science, social studies, health, and transition skills this year. Please check my calendar for homework assignments.
The Middle School Academic Challenge Team will travel to Francis Marion University on Saturday, March 2nd to participate in the Pee Dee Academic Challenge Tournament.
This week the class will read The Watsons Go to Birmingham -1963 by Christopher Paul Curtis. Each week our class will work on math, reading and transition skills listed in their IEPs. The spelling unit for this week is #29. In science, the class will study "Mercury, Venus, and Mars". In social studies, we will study the state of New Hampshire".
